Upcoming Webinar – Holding Space: Supporting Music Students, Singers, and Colleagues in Mental Wellness

News - Intro image

Join us on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1pm ET for an interactive workshop on supporting the mental wellness needs of others, facilitated by Registered Psychotherapist Sara Brooks. Geared to conductors/leaders and classroom educators, this workshop will serve to increase understanding of what is truly going on for our students and singers and will explore topics such as empathy, resourcing, risk assessment, and personal self-care.

Advanced registration is required. Please submit questions in advance during the registration process as there will be limited opportunity for a live Q&A. Only questions submitted by April 18 will be reviewed by the presenter.

This will be a bilingual virtual workshop, inviting the francophone and anglophone communities together in the same space to learn and share. Our facilitator, Sara Brooks, will present in English, and her colleague Mark Wilkinson will follow with French translations. English and French powerpoint slides will be available.

If you have any accessibility needs for this webinar, please let us know on the registration form or contact the Choral Canada office directly.

Please note: This webinar is open to anyone who wishes to attend; membership with Choral Canada is not required to register. However, the webinar's recording will only be made available to Choral Canada members in the Members Area of our website. The Q&A portion will not be recorded.
