PODIUM 2026 is presented by Choral Canada and the British Columbia Choral Federation (BCCF), May 14-17, 2026 in Victoria, BC. The conference will be held at the University of Victoria, which is located on the unceded territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Esquimalt) peoples and is the traditional gathering place of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, as well as online through the PODIUM 2026 conference app.

Inspired by a vision of innovation and inclusivity, the 2026 edition of Podium aims to ignite meaningful dialogue within the global choral community. Through offerings both on-site and online, we will showcase new music, bold ideas, and exciting opportunities for collective singing, through participatory workshops, massed singing events, and a powerful afternoon opening ceremony and concert that will joyfully kick off the conference and festival. Key themes will look at the role of the choral arts in important topics such as social justice, climate change action, health and wellness, diversity and inclusion.

NEW FOR 2026: PODIUM 2026 will feature a two-stream format, where each Interest Session will be scheduled twice and presented to two different groups of delegates. This structure is designed to increase access to sessions and encourage deeper engagement throughout the conference.

FEE: There is no application fee.

DUE DATE: Proposals and all materials are due August 15, 2025.

If you have any questions about your proposal or if submitting a proposal online is a barrier, please contact PODIUM 2026 for alternative arrangements (e.g. written/oral applications) at [email protected].
