Transform Your Choir’s Sound – Exceptional Choral Singing with Bel Canto Principles
University of Alberta professor Dr. Laurier Fagnan has generously offered to make this video available free of charge to Choral Canada members during the COVID-19 pandemic. The video provides a unique opportunity to continue to learn and develop your voice and the choral art at a time when we are unable to come together for rehearsals. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Fagnan for sharing this invaluable resource.

“Wishing you all the best in your ongoing vocal and choral development as we continue in our virtual singing world until we can once again come together to sing the way we were meant to! I hope the principles in this video will help you to be better prepared vocally when rehearsals and concerts resume in the future. A few words about this DVD: The total length is approximately 75 minutes. There are several chapters, but I would suggest watching linearly from the beginning as the principles are organized in a cumulative fashion, i.e. each one builds upon what has been learned in the previous chapters. Watching it in its entirety from the beginning will also help you to understand the terminology (much of it Italian) used throughout. Best of luck as we all deal with this unique experience together and come out singing on the other side!” -L. Fagnan, President Elect, Choral Canada
