Meghan Hila (Toronto, ON)
Executive Director
Since 2014, Meghan Hila has been the General Manager of Choral Canada, the national arts service organization for the Canadian choral community. In January 2019, Meghan was promoted to Executive Director. Meghan has extensive experience in arts management and has worked for organizations such as the National Arts Centre Orchestra & Dance, University of Windsor's School of Music, Windsor's Capitol Theatre, the Kiwanis Music Festival of Greater Toronto, Bowman Media, Talisker Players, and Choirs Ontario. Meghan has a Bachelor of Music Therapy (Voice) degree from the University of Windsor, as well as a Certificate in Arts Management. Meghan has performed as both a volunteer and professional choral singer. Until recently, upon becoming a new mother, Meghan was singing with the Orpheus Choir of Toronto directed by Robert Cooper and the St. Thomas Anglican Church Evensong Choir directed by Matthew Larkin.

Sarah Gardiner (Fergus, ON)
Programs & Services Manager
Sarah comes to Choral Canada from a diverse career background, primarily focused on the arts and agricultural sectors. She learned about the power of connection through music while singing in choir as a youth, and that was reinforced during her involvement with Alberta’s Kokopelli Choir Association as a volunteer and later as Choir Manager. She is excited to bring her creativity and marketing, communications and project planning skills to Choral Canada.

Nila Rajagopal (Montréal, QC)
Office Coordinator
Montréal-based conductor and soprano Nila Rajagopal is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Choral Conducting at McGill University under the tutelage Dr. Jean-Sébastien Vallée. She previously earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto with specializations in voice and choral music education.
Nila is currently Assistant Conductor of the St. Lawrence Choir in Montréal. She has previously held positions with the Toronto Children's Chorus, the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth and the Mississauga Summer Chorale.
Before working at Choral Canada, Nila served as Administrative Assistant for the University of Toronto's Choral Department, working under the supervision of Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt. She was also Administrative Assistant at Choirs Ontario in 2015 and 2020.

Tamara Ivanis (Toronto, ON)
Student Intern
Tamara Ivanis, born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, former Yugoslavia, came to Canada 23 years ago for a new life. Tamara acquired many diverse experiences in different industries before beginning her journey in event management. She is currently raising her family and living in Toronto, ON and is famous for great parties in the community.
Tamara is a graduate of the Trebas Institute in the Event Management diploma program. While in school, she organized concerts and theatre plays for a multitude of artists from Europe. She is honoured to be joining the Choral Canada team as part of the internship program through the Trebas Institute. This experience with Choral Canada is a new and interesting challenge as this is her first time working for a non-profit organization. Tamara will be with Choral Canada until December 4, 2020 and will play a valuable role in Choral Canada's programs, services and various changes that are being implemented within the organization.
